Are you sharing?

A big part of being an artist or maker, is sharing your work with the world, and this is  a part that often gets pushed to the side or avoided all together.

If you make great work, and I believe that you do, you need to share it, put it out into the world, for others to enjoy, purchase, learn from, and be inspired by. Will someone attempt to copy your idea… probably… is that a good enough reason to hide your work. NO!

Here’s the deal, you have two options. Make great work, share your work, which leads to sales, compliments and adding value to people’s lives that you may never know about.

Option 2: make great work, hide it under your bed

Okay, so we agree, there’s really only one option, make great work, share said work. So let’s get started !

Pinterest is a wonderful platform for images, it’s searchable, links back to your shop, and allows you to tell a story about your work. Intrigued? Watch the video below, then download the free workbook, and join for a class to get started.

My creative practice is far from the traditional weaver. When warping the loom I never count the ends, I just go until I feel that it's time to stop. I don't follow patterns, I allow and sometimes encourage the yarn to move as it wraps around the front beam. If a string breaks, I work it into the piece. I create from my soul. I speak to the yarn as we weave together, striving to create the perfect connection, and when we become in sync a fabulous scarf, full of honesty, joy, and personality emerges.
